Radiation tolerant Crystal Oscillators by FMI

Frequency Management International (FMI) has launched a new series of highly reliable, radiation tolerant Crystal Oscillators

In other words, these devices targets system applications in the growing Commercial Space (also called New) market segment. Particularly, FMI offers it in different miniatures:

  1. SMD 5×3.2 mm (C55 series) 
  2. SMD 5×7 mm platforms (C75 and C85 series)

These Commercial Space targeted crystal oscillators offer TID rating and provide Single Event Latch-up (SEL) performance that rivals traditional Hi-Rel Space solutions. Features include a cost optimized approach to mitigating mission critical reliability needs. FMI’s new solutions uniquely offer best in class cost/performance for new system applications in Commercial Space (Small-sat, Cube-sat, etc.) that are typically deployed in LEO, MEO, GEO and the related robotic missions.
