Johanson Technology’s P/N 7987AT45A0200001E is an 8 GHz (Channel 9) mini surface-mount ceramic patch antenna designed for directional Ultra-Wideband (UWB) systems. It operates across 7887 MHz to 8087 MHz, providing stable and efficient performance for a wide range of UWB applications.
Target applications include keyless entry, angle-of-arrival (AoA), ranging, radar, and autonomous mobile robots (AMR beacons) in both consumer andindustrial environments. While optimized for UWB Channel 9, the antenna can also be tuned to adjacent frequencies and channels through externalmatching to support diverse UWB system requirements.
The antenna’s directional radiation pattern concentrates energy above the device, delivering higher gain and improved accuracy in the main lobe whilereducing radiation behind the board. This design minimizes self-interference in dense electronic environments and enhances overall positional accuracyand operational reliability.
