Dimac red is delighted to announce that our principal RD Alfa Company has signed the third cooperation agreement with European Space Agency!
Specifically, RD Alfa Company has signed an agreement on the Development of Integrated Circuit αRD139A for application in ESA missions, contract Nr.4000124213/18/NL/SC was signed by both parties, based on the Development of Microcircuit αRD139A for applications in ESA missions.
The microcircuit will be developed and certified as HiRel and RadHard components for airspace and defence equipment. The manufacturing process and characteristics of the microcircuit ensure maximum compliance with the general technical specifications of ESCC 9000. High reliability is ensured by screening and testing in a certified manufacturing process. Radiation tolerance, Total Ionizing Dose (TID) not less than 100 krad (Si) with High and Low rate doses.
Meanwhile, at RD Alfa, under the contract with ESA, the development of the aRD124A product has been successfully completed.
The test of prototypes for irradiation by the method of Low Dose Rate (LDR) set was completed successfully. TID LDR test of aRD124A for 450Krad showed positive results on all parameters, performance better than equivalents of USA manufacturers. Nevertheless, according to specification, it needed to perform tests up to 150Krad, in order to understand the borders of our technology and test the IC for its stability, the decision was made to achieve a TID LDR dose 450Krad.
This fact, as well as the results of the rejection tests of a number of pilot lots, make it possible to count on a favorable outcome of the procedure for qualifying this product for compliance with the requirements of ESA regulatory documentation, which in turn can further positively influence the commercial success of the product in the Space Industry market.
